Guaranteed 10% Saving
We will commit to beat your existing insurance premium or any alternative competitive quotation by 10% or more providing that you provide a copy of the documents noting the premiums obtained.
We will initially provide a Hiscox quotation which may or may not be in excess of 10% less than your existing quotation. If this is not acceptable we will revert to the price match less 10% scenario.
After year 1 should the practice continue to obtain alternative quotations, we will only commit to price match these arrangements.
No Under Insurance
As with most insurance policies under insurance is not tolerated and Insurance Companies apply something called average. Average means that the percentage by which you are underinsured will be deducted from the sum insured shown on your schedule before payment is made. For example, if contents were insured for £50,000 but in fact cost £100,000 to replace insurers would only pay £25,000 i.e. a 50% deduction would be made. Our policy is written on an agreed value basis meaning that in the example above the full £50,000 originally insured will be paid out.
Common Annual Renewal Date
We recommend a single renewal date of 1st September for all members.
The scheme will run as a whole with individual practice claim experiences only being declared where they are considered to be above the norm.
Where the practice present insurance is due in a renewal month other than September, we will arrange a pro-rata contract to run until September.
Documents to be White Labelled
Policy schedules and a policy document wallet will be badged up to identify the facility to be for Vetswest members only. This will give it identity and will help promote the Vetswest brand. Policy schedules will also state the name of the practice with “Member of Vetswest” stated in brackets next to their name.
On Site Visits
We are fully aware of the importance of building relationships with the individual members practices as well as the Vetswest board. Our intention therefore is to visit 75% of all the member practices in the next 12 months. We hope that this will spread the word but also create the trust required for the members to join the Vetswest Surgery facility.
Contents Valuations
With under insurance being such a common occurrence we will agree to offer a free contents valuation in order to ascertain as near as possible the new for old value of the contents in the practice. We will only provide this to practices that have agreed to place their surgery insurance through us
Dedicated Point of Contact
You will have a dedicated individual dealing with all quotations mid term adjustments and policy preparation. They will understand veterinary practice requirements and will act as the central point for all Vetswest member liaison.
