Commercial Insurance Account Handler – Join The Team

An exciting opportunity at an Independent Insurance Brokers based in Halesowen. You will be joining an established team of Account Handlers to deal with business and personal insurance risks, ranging from individual car and home policies to mid-corporate insurance packages.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to our firm’s Account Executives
  • Deal with everyday queries and post from clients or insurers, ensuring all relevant documentation is obtained and files are updated
  • Effective prioritising of work; manage own computer diary systems
  • Prepare new business and renewal presentations for clients
  • Accurately check policy documents, advising insurers of any amendments or errors, sending the documents to the clients where appropriate
  • Obtain and chase quotations from insurers either online or manually
  • Build and sustain relationships with insurers
  • Manage renewal workload including marketing, review of terms and queries
  • Deal with client queries via telephone, email or post in relation to new & existing claims

Relevant Skills and Knowledge

  • You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience & knowledge of Commercial Insurance
  • CII qualifications are desired but not essential
  • Proficient in the use of Acturis
  • Strong team working ethic & ability to work to deadlines
